◆Tawang located at a height of about 3048 meters, is know for many important and beautiful monasteries and is famous at the birth place of Dalai Lama. It is best to visit this valley from April to October.
◆Dzukou valley sits high amongst the clouds, at 2452 meters above sea level, straddling the border of Nagaland and Mnipur in North East India.
◆Gurudongmar lake at an altitude of 17000ft, is one of the highest lakes in the world. It lies in the North side of the khangchengyao range and is encircled all around by snow covered mountains, the sacred lake freezes during the winters except at one spot, which the devout belief has been especially blessed.
◆Krem Puri underground cavern is more than 6000 metres longer than world record holder cueva del saman in Edo zulia, Venezuela, a quartzite sandstone cave measuring 18,200 metres (18.2km).
◆Ujjayanta palace was a royal palace. Situated at the core of Agartala, the entire hustle-bustle of the city is centered around this palace. Built in 1901, it has magnificent tiled floors, curved wooden ceilings and lovely doors.
◆The Rumtek monastery is one of the largest and most significant monasteries in Sikkim, perched on top of a hill 23 km from Gangtok. Originally called as the Dharma Chakra Center, it belongs to the kargyu seet of Buddhists who originated in Tibet in the 12th century.
◆Loktak lake is the largest freshwater lake in north east India and is famous for the phumdis floating over it. The lake is located at Moirang in Manipur state, India.
◆A small border town in the jaintia hills, Dawki and it’s famed river umngot is a most visit if in Meghalaya. Sandwiched between India and Bangladesh, Dawki is a major center of trade between India and Bangladesh.
◆Yumthang valley situated in North Sikkim, is a paradise on earth, which is full of natural wonders and picturesque beauty. It is home to a Zillion flowers, spectacular mountains and a serene river and is often also called as the valley of flowers like the one located in Uttarakhand.
◆Kaziranga national park a world heritage site, the park host’s two-thirds of the world’s great one horned rhinoceros, kaziranga also boasts the highest density of tigers among the proteated areas in the world. The Kaziranga national park is located at Golaghat and Nagaon district of Assam.
