Ain Sokhna is a tourist, investment and industrial resort on the Gulf of Suez coast in the Red Sea and follows the Suez Governorate in Egypt, and is 55 km from the city of Suez and is one of the closest Red Sea resorts to Cairo.
It was named after Ain Sokhna because of the large number of hot sulfur eyes in it that are used for hospitalization. It has non-rocky beaches with white sand, as it is a summer resort during the summer and winter months, and there are several tourist areas and villages that contain hotels and chalets. The Ain Sokhna Hotel, which was established in the early sixties, is the oldest of all, and its proximity to Cairo – where it is about 140 km away. Nearly kilometers – making it a favorite summer , for day trip, even though the proportion of foreign tourists is the dominant one, and several tourist projects are being established in the Ain Sukhna region to attract the growing number of Egyptian and foreign tourists.
The French Archeology Mission in Ain Sukhna was found on February 8, 2006. archaeological treasure dating back to the period of the modern and middle states in Egypt, dating back more than four thousand years ago, in the region of Jabal Jalala, and a similar German mission discovered a huge statue of King Amenhotep the Third.
