Everybody loves to visit new places. However there a number of locations around the world which will give you nightmares. You will forget your sleep after watching some uncanny attractions. Here are the top 20 dangerous tourist attractions in the world.
1. Mount Huashan
The Plank Walk on China’s Mount Hua is considered by many as one of the most dangerous hikes in the world. Hikers walk across a few planks of wood bolted into the side of a 7,000-foot peak to reach a small shrine. While the hikers are harnessed, it is still a terrifying adventure to many who dare. The amazing fact is, this dangerous tourist attraction is considered one of China’s five sacred mountains and is one of the most popular tourist attractions and pilgrimage sites for Chinese people.
2. Hiking Trolltunga
This dangerous tourist attraction is Norway’s most spectacular hiking destinations. But it is one of the most dangerous and hardest hiking destinations on earth. The estimated trekking time is 7–10 hours. Signs along the trail show the remaining distance to both Trolltunga and back to the trailhead. There are several options for traveling by bus, and every route takes you via the village of Odda in Hardanger. On this dangerous holiday spot, a 24-year-old Australian girl fell off the Troll’s Tongue and died.
3. Devile Pool – Victoria Falls
Devil’s Pool is located atop Victoria Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in the world. The pool has long been a top “must-explore” tourist destination on the travel bucket list of many adventure lovers. Devil’s Pool is located in the Zambezi River, along the Zambia-Zimbabwe border. Here, tourists swim dangerously close to the tipping point of the falls, only prevented from falling by a slippery, submerged lip of rock.
4. End Road
This most dangerous tourist destination in Bolivia is known as “End Road” for all of the reasons you’d guess. Driving up or down this 43-mile switchback is extremely perilous due to fog, landslides, cascades, and cliffs that drop 2,000 feet at every turn. The road hardly gets wider than 10 feet. Multiple crucifixes spot the ground as memorials to those who have perished there.
5. Trift Bridge
It is the only suspension bridge of the longest walkway in the Swiss Alps. Beside the long trek, the view here may also weaken some people’s knees. It is suspended 330 feet from the valley floor and 560 meters in length. This is only the second bridge located in the beautiful valley with its dazzling landscape. In 2004, a huge hydroelectric plant was built under Trift Glacier. The plant collected and controlled the runoff from the glacier. A bridge was needed to reach the power plant below the glacier and so this precariously positioned structure was built. However it is not considered as dangerous as the glass bridge in china.
6. Kokoda and Black cat Trails
This dangerous tourist destination is a challenging 58km Papua New Guinea Adventure that runs between Salamaua and Wau in the Morobe Province. It is a forgotten World War 2 trail that passes through some of the toughest and most hazardous terrains in the world. Australian Diggers have often been heard describing the Black Cat Track as the hardest slog they have ever done. In fact, the Black Cat Tracks are harder than the Kokoda Tracks.
1. The Elephant Kingdom in Chonburi
This tourist attraction is in Thailand. An elephant camp owner and a mahout were charged with recklessly causing end and injuries after an elephant terminated a Chinese tour guide and injured two tourists. This happened in the Elephant Kingdom in Chonburi, Thailand. Considered the world’s most terrifying tourist attraction, the attraction was shut down after disturbing photos emerged of tourists balanced on a raft feeding meat – to crocodiles. They used flimsy canes to dangle lumps of beef over the jaws of the reptiles – which then leaped from the water to take their lunch.
2. Heaven’s Gate
This holiday destination is located at the top of Tianmen Mountain, 24,500 feet above the city of Zhangjiajie in China’s Hunan province. The 999 steps lead visitors to Tianmen Cave, which is the world’s highest naturally formed arch. Visitors can get there using the cable car, or choose the harder way – the 999 steps. Land Rover alleges that the Range Rover Sport is the first SUV to reach Heaven’s Gate.
3. Grand Canyon National Park
This dangerous place has between 15 to 20 fatalities and 300 search and rescue incidents reported per year. The most common causes of end are airplane crashes, falls, and dangerous environmental conditions such as overheating or drowning. Grand Canyon is in the northwest corner of Arizona, close to the borders of Utah and Nevada. The Colorado River, which flows through the canyon, drains water from seven states, but the feature we know as Grand Canyon is entirely in Arizona.

Worst Travel Destinations in the World

Tourists are often wary of traveling to certain destinations that maintain a reputation of being “unsafe”. We’ve compiled a list of the 10 worst travel destinations around the world based on these factors.
1. Port au Prince, Haiti
Since the 2010 earthquake, Port au Prince has been falling even further into decline. This city lacks basic healthcare and education systems and is stricken with severe poverty. Locals are purposefully kept far from tourists, making the experience hardly authentic for travelers who visit there.
2. Damascus, Syria
There has been a temporary suspension of commercial flights and closure of roadways. Some threats are very high in Damascus and the surrounding suburbs. While its a historically and culturally rich city, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office advises that Damascus is one of the worst travel destinations in the world right now.
3. Mogadishu, Somalia
Recently named by the US State Department as the most dangerous place on Earth, Mogadishu is not expected to be a popular tourist destination anytime soon. Mogadishu is not only the headquarters for non good people in the Horn of Africa, but new non licit organizations are forming everyday.
4. Pyongyang, North Korea
The only American who has been warmly welcomed into North Korea recently was basketball superstar, Dennis Rodman. Unless you look like him, don’t expect to be able to wander freely around the country. Tourists can only visit Pyongyang under the supervision of accredited tour guides, and the tours themselves are strictly regulated and restricted by the government.
5. Ciudad Juarez, Mexico
Considered one of the capitals of the world for bad people, vacationing in Ciudad Juarez is not recommended. This Mexican city has had lots of issues with the law. The big lords looking to maintain a stronghold of their supplies to the American market often threat innocent people to maintain their border city.
6. Bogotá, Colombia
Bogotá is not the best city at all. Some outlaw groups and other organizations continue to hold civilians, including foreigners, for ransom or as political bargaining chips. If you must travel to Bogotá, do so with extreme caution.
7. Dhaka, Bangladesh
The city’s nearby river is beautiful, but also severely polluted. Dhaka’s political system is highly wrong and proper healthcare and infrastructure systems are lacking in this capital city. Bangladesh does have the potential to be a tourist-worthy country, but government officials must improve humanitarian concerns and cleanliness standards in Dhaka before we would recommend it.
8. Skegness, England
Brits frequent this disappointing town hoping to spend some time at the beach, but traveling to Skegness has become a joke. The town, which appears to be stuck in the past, offers very few attractions for tourists to enjoy and is overpriced. This is one of the worst travel destinations.
9. Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
Papua New Guinea’s capital city is known for its frequent lawlessness. All the bad issues take place daily. Port Moresby is replete with waste and pollution and offers few attractions for tourists.
10. Moscow, Russia
Moscow experiences extreme weather conditions during most months, making travel extremely unpleasant. Political problem levels are high in Russia’s capital city. Even the police are known to not precisely help tourists. We recommend visiting neighboring St. Petersburg instead.

The 10 Most Dangerous Countries to Travel in 2020
Get more Tips here! http://www.destinationtips.com
Sometimes we like to step outside of our comfort zone and visit exotic new places but recently, travelling willy-nilly, could land us in some very hot water…
Lucky then, that International SOS has created “The Travel Risk Map” indicating the safest and most dangerous countries to travel in 2020.
10) Afghanistan
This country is not at its most presentable at the moment, and is full of social unrest. Attacks of all types are very common and there’s high threat of kidnapping throughout the country. Even the consulate can’t guarantee your safety. If that wasn’t enough, there is also a high risk of earthquakes, aftershocks, landslides and flooding. So best to stay away…
9) Syria
You’ve probably seen this country mentioned on the TV, but not in a good way. It’s best not to go there if you want to steer clear of terrorism, civil unrest, kidnapping, and armed conflict. If you really have to go there you should have a contingency plan for emergency situations.
8) Yemen
This is a beautiful country full of flora and fauna. It’s capital city has stood for over 2,500 years, and is a Unesco World Heritage site. However, there is much political tension and there are constant terrorist attacks, kidnaps and unlawful detentions.
7) Somalia
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advises against all travel to Somalia. Here you’ll find the same risks as in the earlier countries plus maritime raids and hijackings in the surrounding waters and they are also suffering food shortages. So, unfortunately it’s a big no-no.
6) Libya
There is no consular support available from the British government from within Libya, and Prime Minister Serraj has announced a state of emergency. There are many daily attacks and tourists are an easy target.
5) Nigeria
Here there are some areas which are more dangerous than others but it isn’t worth the risk. Other than the abundant violence and other dangers to avoid, there’s also the risk of catching the Zika virus. So, it would be wiser if you just choose a different destination.
4) Venezuela
The country is packed full of wonders such as the Gran Sabana region and Angel Falls, not to mention its cultural and culinary delicacies. However, this country has a high risk of kidnapping and violent crime. Anything can happen at any time, and it most likely won’t be good. So think it twice before you go there.
3) Haiti
The current security situation is unstable and dangerous. Also the country sometimes suffers from food and fuel shortages, and the Medical facilities are very limited and offer a poor standard of care. If you’re travelling to the Dominican Republic, you’ll find yourself on some very dangerous roads. Oh, and there’s also an outbreak of zika virus.
2) North Korea
Not surprising to see polemical North Korea so high on the list. Due to the high censorship the country endures, it might make you curious enough to see it for yourself. But curiosity killed the cat. Because their laws are so foreign to us, you can easily and unknowingly commit a crime, and be sent to spend years in a labor camp. Also, the authorities can take un-warned political actions that may be risky for tourists.
1) Iraq
This country is currently in the level 4 dangerzone, which means “Do not travel”. There are constant attacks, a high risk of terrorism, kidnapping and armed conflict. They can even impose prison sentences of up to ten years on individuals who illegally cross the border. So, maybe another time…
Which country do you think should be on this list?

10 Places NOT To Travel to in 2021!
It is somewhat ironic that the most beautiful and enjoyable places to travel to are generally the ones that haven’t been damaged by tourism, and countries that were once the perfect place to visit are now on our list of Places NOT To Travel in 2021!
1. Dubrovnik, Croatia
After gaining fame for being a filming location for “Game of Thrones” and also thanks various social influencers, Dubrovnik has become a veritable tourism hotspot making it one of our, tourism “not”spots. Its overcrowded and no longer has the feel of a “hidden paradise” and considering that Croatia has so many beautiful seaside towns, why choose this one?
2. Switzerland
Switzerland has always been a popular tourist location, its beautiful, not overcrowded, and has good cheese and amazing chocolate, what more could you want? Well while Switzerland certainly isn’t lacking, it is expensive! and cheaper options like Slovenia will give you a lot more! for a lot less!
3. Lisbon, Portugal
Lisbon gained popularity as a viable alternative to the crowded Barcelona, but nowadays it too has become a little too touristy. Luckily Lisbon isn’t the only jewel in Portugal’s crown, Coimbra and Aveiro and both stunning, with the later being known as Portugal’s version of Venice!
4. Kanpur, India
Kanpur has been a big tourist favorite for years and still is! but not without consequence. Kanpur relies heavily on industry and Kanpur leather is famous worldwide, but this, in addition to over population and vehicle emissions has caused air pollution problems within the city. so its probably best to avoid Kanpur next year.
5. North Korea
Although beautiful there are some places on this earth that ethically are best not to visit! If you think that the money you spend here will go towards a dictatorship and the possible oppression of millions of people it kinda puts a downer on your vacation plans!
6. Hallstatt, Austria
“The snow shines bright on the mountains at night, not a footprint to be seen. In this kingdom of isolation, tourism is the queen. Hallstatt was the inspiration for Arendel in the frozen films and since then it has been flooded with tourists. If you don’t like crowds and this was one of your travel options for 2021 its probably best to “let it go!”
7. Santorini, Greece
Its easy to see why this quaint town has become so popular, its beautiful white and blue houses and tight streets make it something very special, unfortunately, tight streets and thousands of tourists means you’ll be queuing just to walk down the street. add the fact that its majority trade is souvenirs and you’ll find yourself feeling like you’re just queuing up in a rather extravagant gift shop.
8. Faroe Islands
After a large marketing campaign in 2016 the Faroe Islands with its virgen, untouched landscapes has become a very attractive place to visit. but the more people that visit, the less “untouched” it becomes. The tourism board recently decided to close the island for a weekend “for maintenance” and will continue to do so in an effort to protect its delicate ecosystem.
9. Phi Phi islands, Thailand
This place is the definition of island paradise, everywhere you look is simply breathtaking. this tourist hotspot has suffered greatly from the influx of tourists over the years, so much so the in 2018 the shut it to tourists so that the islands could recover. even though it may open again in 2021 it would probably be best to give this paradise more time to recover rather than lose it all together.
10. Florida Keys, USA
A popular place with diving enthusiasts thanks to its barrier reef, it is home to a wide variety of species, this beautiful, carefully balanced ecosystem is in danger from invasive species, climate change and pollution. therefore its probably best to give Florida Keys a break from mankind for a while.

The Worst Places to Visit on the Planet!
It’s important to know which of these destinations is truly worth visiting, and which can be missed. Thankfully, a legion of honest redditors have done their homework and reported in. Here, for your consideration, are some of reddit’s most hated destinations.
1. Singapore’s Sentosa Beach Is Like a Bad Sci-Fi Novel
magnora4: “Sentosa beach in Singapore. So messed up. It’s all fancy and hyper-developed and connected to one of the largest malls on earth (Vivo Mall), but you get to the beach via monorail and you get to the little sand that’s not built up in to stores… and then you look out to the ocean and all you see is oil tankers and factories spewing smoke on the horizon. It was like some sort of futuristic dystopia.”
2. Daytona Beach Is for Crab Lovers
danecdote: “Daytona Beach, Fl. Friends somehow convinced me to go a few years ago. Never again will I enter that city of my own free will. It looked like a diseased husk of its former tourist trap self; foreclosed and/or sh-tty buildings abound. There is literally nothing to do there, aside from going to the sh-tty, dilapidated beach and eating at Joe’s Crab Shack.”
3. Belarus: For Travelers Who Want to Feel Like the Enemy Agent in a Foreign Land
“English guy here, Belarus. I’ve never felt so unwelcome. The police follow you everywhere, my Passport was being checked constantly. I just felt like I was being watched where ever I went.” The sentiment was echoed by several travelers.
4. Cairo Is a Hot, Chaotic Mess
Broes: “Egypt, Cairo, the pyramids … Was on my bucket list and really wanted to see it. The city is extremely dirty, garbage everywhere, the smell… Traffic is chaos. The pyramids could be seen from the pizzahut, so close its impossible to imagine them away from the city. At the pyramids themself you are constantly harassed by Egyptians trying to sell you stuff up to the point where you feel the need to start hitting them to get away from you. If you make a picture at the pyramids with an egyptian on it, they directly demand money. Left after just 15-20 minutes, couldn’t stand it any longer.”
5. Only Go to Jamaica if You’re Ready to Tip Big
aussydog: Jamaica. “Most people are friendly but the vast majority expect exorbitant “tips” for doing next to nothing at all. If you denied them a tip they immediate treated you like sh-t. If you did tip a reasonable amount they treated you like sh-t. Often would look at the cash they were handed as if to say “that’s it?””
6. Just Because Bogie Was Trapped in Casablanca Doesn’t Mean You Need to Be, As Well
Matthattan: “Casablanca. The least-interesting place in a fascinating country. Really, Casablanca is just a dumpy business district on the coast. Other than one obscenely expensive mosque that the previous king had built, there’s really nothing to see. But the rest of Morocco? As beautiful a place as I’ve seen. Fez, the green highlands in the north, Essaouira, the High Atlas, Marrakesh … all gorgeous.”
7. Gibraltar Really Is Just a Rock
Noneerror: Gibraltar. It really is just a big rock and not the country it technically claims to be. The hotel sucked. A car had washed up into the swimming pool. That was despite a very clear sign that you weren’t supposed to throw your car off a cliff into the ocean. The food was disgusting and I wasn’t the only one who refused to eat it. Everyone who decided to eat it anyway got sick. I also got peed on by a monkey … You can see everything Gibraltar has to offer in a few hours. We were stuck there for a week. Then we got stuck there after we were supposed to leave due to bad weather. Thick fog meant we spent 18 hours waiting in the airport while periodically watching our plane attempt to land and abort each time. Each time it almost crashing horribly in a new way that would have blocked the only road out of Gibraltar. The runway and the road are the same bit of asphalt.”
8. Azerbaijan Means Fun With Crooked Cops
buckdiddy: “Azerbaijan. Almost every step of the way we were met with crooked cops trying to get insane amounts of money out of us. They tried to hold our car documents hostage until we paid but I just decided to lay on my thickest Masshole until he got tired of me yelling. We finally met a good cop who drove us through all of the speed traps after we gave him some American cigarettes. The citizens of Azerbaijan are really nice though.”
9. The Best of Pompeii Has Already Been Taken
Ecuadorable: “Pompeii is lame and very crowded with tourists. All of the great mosaics have been taken by museums. If you want to go somewhere much better preserved, much more interesting, and way less crowded, check out the nearby ruins of Herculaneum.”
