I spent countless hours trying to plan my trip each time I went to Florida. Every time I would find something more interesting than before. So I’ve decided to create a video about the best places to visit in Florida in order to have an amazing vacation or trip.
Jacksonville
Jacksonville is a large city in northeastern Florida where the St. John’s River meets the Atlantic Ocean. A regional business center, it has many museums and cultural offerings. Swimming and surfing are popular at nearby barrier island beaches such as Jacksonville Beach and Neptune Beach. Championship golf courses in the area include Ponte Vedra Beach’s TPC Sawgrass, headquarters of the PGA Tour.
Jacksonville is considered one of the best value destinations in the world. Expect vacation that is full of fun and relaxing as well. The youngest population of Florida lives in Jacksonville, so there’s plenty to do all day long.
Jacksonville has been ranked as one of the best value destinations by Lonely Planet and as one of the supercool cities in the US by Expedia.
St. Augustine
Located on the northeast coast of Florida. It is considered as one of the oldest cities in the US. Well known for its Spanish colonial architecture as well as more than 42 miles of pristine beaches. St. Augustine set itself apart from any other city in the country by having unique scenery and history. The city resemble a European flavor with centuries-old buildings, horse-drawn carriages, hidden courtyards and so much more. Explore more than 450 years worth of history in this unique and fascinating city. More than 6 million people visit St. Augustine each year – make sure you become one of them!
One of my favorite cities in Florida. It’s historic with it’s own charm. Stroll around the city to discover historic places. One of the most popular ones is the Castillo de San Marcos, which is the 17 century fortress with drawbridges. Also make sure to treat yourself in many unique restaurants and places to eat or drink. Definitely one of the best places to visit in Florida.
Key West
Probably the most popular destination in Florida. It’s the most southern place in United States, just 90 miles from Cuba. Perfect destination for diving and snorkeling. The scenic drive will take you around 2 hours from Miami. Definitely one of the best places to visit in Florida.
If you have never been to Key West, you are in for a great treat. The vast option of attractions will make sure everyone is content with their trip or vacation. Some of the most popular attractions are dolphin encounters, kayaking the nackcountry, diving and snorkeling. You can even rent a boat at Key West marina and explore the unique area on your own. For those who want to relax and enjoy their vacation, simply choose from pletheora of pristine beaches. Stroll around the popular Mallory Square or Duval Street. Plenty of restaurants, bars, shops nearby.
